Site Description

Palastar Reef Marine Sanctuary was created in 2014 as a result of collaborations between the Barbuda Council, Barbuda Fisheries Division, Codrington Lagoon National Park, Government of Antigua & Barbuda, and the Waitt Institute under the Barbuda Blue Halo initiative. The no-take marine reserve was created to ensure the sustainability of Barbuda's marine resources, and after thorough discussions with community members.
