Walter's Shoal is a Hope Spot designated by Mission Blue. The Shoal is a group of submerged mountains off the coast of Madagascar. Discovered in 1963, the Shoal was once home to a huge population of Galapagos sharks, but they have since been overfished and the population has diminised.
